This course explores the methods that archaeologists use to study the past, the development of human societies from our earliest hominid ancestors to preindustrial civilizations, and the social context of such endeavours to know the past. No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
