Through a linguistic analysis of a corpus of samples of spoken French, this course focuses on the phonetic, phonological, morphological, syntactic and lexical characteristics of social varieties of contemporary French. Prerequisites: AP/FR 2100 6.00 and three credits in language chosen from among AP/FR 3080 6.00, AP/FR 3081 3.00, or AP/FR 3082 3.00.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
