This is a course in critical social science methodology, designed to improve students' abilities to read and evaluate social research. Among the strategies considered and compared are: ethnography; historical method; survey research; case studies; text analysis; and action research. Course credit exclusions: AP/SOSC 3363 3.00.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
