Eating disorders continue to plague large numbers of adolescent and adult women, and to a lesser extent men, compromising their health and ability to function in their daily lives. This course will introduce students to the political, social and psychological factors contributing to eating disorders, identify models of treatment and conclude with special topics such as athletes, sexual abuse and substance abuse. Note 1: This course does not count as major credit in the social work. Note 2: This course is offered on a full Internet basis. Note 3: Students are required to have access to a computer that is able to support the software requirements of the course. Note 4: This course is not open to social work majors.

Moodle course website access starts within the first week of the term. For late enrollees it takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access the Moodle websites once the semester has started.
