This course explores health systems from a comparative perspective. Particular attention is given to the impact of technology on health care delivery, the targets for health in a global world and reforms in public and private health systems. Course credit exclusions: None. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusions: AS/SOSC 2102 3.00, AS/SOSC 2112 6.00 (prior to Fall/Winter 2003-2004).

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
