This course explores contemporary perspectives on development, including current development challenges and potential solutions. Particular attention is given to various debates on globalization, including the differential impacts of globalization on a number of countries and communities. Prerequisites: AP/SOSC 2800 6.00 and AP/SOSC 3800 6.00.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
