This course deals with the creative works of Lu Xun, China's leading 20th-century writer. It focuses on textual analysis of his short stories, prose poems and selected satirical essays. Modern Standard Chinese (Mandarin) is used in class. Prerequisites: AP/CH 3000 6.00 or AP/CH 3010 6.00 plus any of the 2000-level Chinese literature courses.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
