This course critically analyzes the relationship between sport, media and society. It locates the sport media industry within a historical and theoretical context and introduces students to critical issues surrounding sport, representation, ideology, consumer culture, political activism and globalization.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
