Explores themes of physical and mental health-related issues in literature, the literary conventions and figurative language necessary for their expression, as well as the use of literature in health-related practices. From the conception of life to death, issues include varieties of trauma, euphoria, disease, recovery, and pain as signifier of negative occurrence and positive accomplishment. Course credit exclusion: AP/EN 1102 3.00.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
