Provides a selective overview of twentieth-century and contemporary literature in English from the regions of Africa, the Caribbean, South Asia, and the South Pacific. Note that all regions will not be covered in every iteration of the course. The course introduces students to the major concepts, issues, contexts, events, and writers necessary for future study in the field.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
