This course introduces students to some important literary works from the continent of Africa. Texts will be studied in the context of histories of decolonialization of African nation states and how African writers respond to this history. Course credit exclusions: None. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusion: AS/EN 2371 6.00.
