A course for students who have demonstrated talent in the writing of prose fiction. Study may be made of the craft of the journal, short story and novel through the work of both recognized writers and students in the course. Note: For students who are not creative writing majors, enrolment in this course is based upon approval of a portfolio of 15 to 20 pages of prose submitted by the student to the coordinator of the creative writing program.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
