This course presents the main theoretical approaches to the use of language in society, with an emphasis on examples from French usage. Prerequisite: AP/FR 2100 6.00. Course credit exclusions: None. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusion: AS/FR 3110 6.00.
