Examines motherhood as it is theorized and analyzed in interdisciplinary feminist scholarship and as it is portrayed in women's fictional and autobiographical writings. The history, sociology, psychology and politics of motherhood with emphasis on class, cultural and racial differences are investigated. PRIOR TO FALL 2015: Course credit exclusion: GL/GWST 3508 6.00.
