This course takes a critical approach, considering intersections, overlaps, conflicts, and conversations between contemporary trans theory and disability theory. It draws on a range of texts including memoir, articles, film, video, and blogs/vlogs, to explore representation, experience, and politics. It includes earlier texts in interdisciplinary critical theory, including gender theory and queer theory, which continue to inform this discourse. Prerequisites: AP/GWST 1501 9.00 or AP/GWST 1502 6.00

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
