This course provides students with the skills and techniques necessary to conduct independent linguistic field work. Prerequisites: AP/LING 2110 3.00, AP/LING 2120 3.00, AP/LING 2130 3.00 and AP/LING 2140 3.00 with grades of C+ or higher, and at least six credits in linguistics (LING) at the 3000-level with grades of C+ or higher, or permission of the department. AP/LING 3120 3.00 and AP/LING 3140 3.00 are recommended. Course credit exclusions: None. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Prerequisites: AS/LING 2110 3.00, AS/LING 2120 3.00, AS/LING 2130 3.00 and AS/LING 2140 3.00 with grades of C+ or higher, and at least six credits in linguistics (LING) at the 3000-level with grades of C+ or higher, or permission of the department. AS/LING 3120 3.00 and AS/LING 3140 3.00 are recommended. Course credit exclusion: AS/LING 4320 6.00.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
