Examines social institutions and ideologies of law. The foundations and practices of law are studied in reference to the influences of capitalism, liberalism and modernity. Informed by classical and contemporary perspectives, this course examines the relationship between law and society.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
