Examines the interrelationship of disease, health, and medicine and the link of these in turn to socio-economic structure, political and cultural context, and physical environment. Students will study questions of equity in the Canadian health experience by comparing it to other healing traditions and institutions. Note: This is an approved LA&PS General Education course: Social Science Note: This course will not count for major credit in HREQ. No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
