An introduction to the study of drama, presented from a theatrical as well as a literary point of view, with the emphasis on the changing nature of dramatic convention and the relation of plays to their historical background. Course credit exclusion: AP/EN 2140 6.00. PRIOR TO FALL 2010: Course credit exclusions: GL/DRST 2610 3.00, GL/DRST 2612 3.00, GL/EN 2610 3.00, GL/EN 2612 3.00, GL/HUMA 2610 3.00, GL/HUMA 2612 3.00.
