Examines how humans produce, receive and use visual media (i.e., photographs, film, etc.) in different societies and cultures, how the visual is differentiated from other forms of expression, and the social and cultural apparatus that support such processes.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
