Examines the place of advertising within culture and society. It will focus on the analysis of advertising; the cultural triumph of the image; the democratization of luxury; the aesthetics of mass culture and the place of advertising within contemporary culture and society. Course credit exclusion: AP/COMN 3315 6.00 (prior to Fall 2012).

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
