From an industry perspective, this course will address unions, what they do, organizing, recent successes, and challenges in the media. It will consider how unions are adjusting to the digital media environment, their impact on the industry, and their profile in today¿s economic reality. Students will also be introduced to negotiation techniques and organizing tactics.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
