Introduces students to contemporary literary and cultural theory. We will discuss major developments in the theory and practice of literature, from romanticism to postmodernism; students will learn the meanings and political implications of current critical terms and debates. Course credit exclusion: AP/EN 2000 6.00.

No examinations or tests collectively worth more than 20% of the final grade in a course will be given during the final 14 calendar days of classes in a term.
