Offers an introductory survey of the primary genres involved in periodical publication, both newspapers and magazines. Genres addressed include news and investigative reports, commentary, reviews, profiles. The course attends also to the differential effects of subject matter on genre. Prerequisite: AP/PRWR 2006 3.00. Course credit exclusion: AP/EN 3700 6.00 (prior to Fall 2012).
