This course examines criminology in the context of globalization. Beginning with a discussion of classic comparative criminology, the course explores how globalization has affected criminology. The course looks at 'transnational' and 'local' forms of crime and engages with several different theories that have been developed to explain the changing field of criminology under transnational conditions. Prerequisites: AP/SOSC/CRIM 1650 6.00, AP/SOSC/CRIM 1650 9.00 (or equivalent) with a grade of at least B (6.0)
