This course takes a comparative look at gender within the context of legal systems, with a focus on common law jurisdictions. Topics such as marriage breakdown, abortion, and sexual assault are examined from both a Canadian and an international perspective. Course credit exclusions: AP/GL/WMST 4512 6.00 (prior to Fall 2013). PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusions: AK/AS/GL/WMST 3512 6.00 (prior to Fall/Winter 2002-2003), AK/AS/WMST 4512 6.00 and GL/ILST 3600 6.00 (prior to Fall/Winter 2002-2003).


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
