Calendar Description / Prerequisite / Co-Requisite

Examines and compares the responses of Africans and their descendants to the experiences of enslavement, racism, colonialism and imperialism from the 15th century to the 20th century and analyses the impact of the African presence on western 'civilization'. Note: Priority is given to History Honours majors and minors who have successfully completed at least 84 credits.
