Calendar Description / Prerequisite / Co-Requisite

This course is an introductory one for students interested in emergencies and disasters. It overviews the history of disasters, examines their causes, and analyzes their impacts. A series of case studies will be used to illustrate how nature, the built environment and society interact to create them.
