The course examines the historical context of the genesis and evolution of French-based creoles in former French colonies. The course examines issues related to language, history, culture and identity in creole-speaking communities. It addresses linguistic and sociolinguistic topics from a diachronic perspective.Prerequisite: AP/FR 2100 6.00.


Course Start Up
