Examines major feminist theoretical approaches, both historical and contemporary, in women's and gender studies. Students will develop their analytic skills by engaging in rigorous critique and debate of feminist theorizing. Students will write detailed assessments of specific theoretical feminist approaches that take into consideration difference and intersectionality. Prerequiste: AP/GL/GWST 2500 6.00 or AP/GL/GWST 2510 9.00 or AP/GL/WMST 2500 6.00 (prior to Fall 2013) or AP/GL/WMST 2510 9.00 (prior to Fall 2013). Course credit exclusions: AP/GL/WMST 3555 6.00 (prior to Fall 2013), AP/GL/GWST 4500 6.00, AP/GL/WMST4500 6.00 (prior to Fall 2013), AS/WMST 4501 6.00 (prior to S2007).
