Examines classical and contemporary sociological theories of self - the development of the self concept, its effects in interaction, and its stability or change over time. Implications of the self in relation to the wider society are explored. Prerequisite: Students must have successfully completed 84 credits.


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
