Combining historical and theoretical content, the course surveys the invention and evolution of media technologies from the invention of writing to the Internet. How technologies alter the social and cultural dynamics of a given period and the relationship between meaning and form will be among the key concerns. Course credit exclusions: None. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusion: AK/CLTR 2210 6.00.


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
