Introduces students to paid and unpaid work in modern society. It provides an interdisciplinary analysis of historical changes and current issues concerning work and workers' experiences. The focus is on Canada with some comparative material. Note: This is an approved LA&PS General Education course: Social Science Note: This course will not count for major credit in HREQ. Cross listed: AP/SOSC 1740 6.00 Course credit exclusion: AP/SOSC 1510 9.00. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusion: AK/SOSC 1740 6.00, AS/SOSC 1510 9.00.


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
