Calendar Description / Prerequisite / Co-Requisite

The course focuses on the politics of youth and old age in contemporary South Korea. This is a study abroad course with one week of classes at the Keele Campus, followed by three weeks in Seoul, South Korea. The course studies the political debates and cultural shifts - including intergenerational conflicts - that arise with a rapidly ageing population.Not open to: Students who have completed less than 60 credits.Note: This is a study abroad course that requires students to travel to South Korea for three weeks.


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website. Course materials begin to be released on the course website during the first week. To log in to your eClass course visit the York U eClass Portal and login with your Student Passport York Account.
