Calendar Description / Prerequisite / Co-Requisite

The course explores the social, economic, political and cultural history of women in ancient Greece and Rome. It examines Greek and Roman concepts of gender and sexuality, and considers the literary and artistic representation of women in these cultures. Course credit exclusions: None. Prior TO FALL 2009:Course credit exclusions: AS/HIST 3160 6.00, AS/HIST 3930D 6.00 (prior to Fall/Winter 2003-2004).

Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
