Surveys major visual, print, new media and other materials constituting the academic field of Porn Studies, taking an interdisciplinary and cultural studies approach to theorize texts and practices that are 'porn'. Studies in porn investigate important debates, texts and moments in the contemporary period and analyzes representative samples from mainstream, queer, lesbian and gay, trans, and feminist canons of porn. Warning: This course includes very explicit sexual content and all such materials are examinable. Prerequisites: AP/SXST 2600 6.00 and permission of the instructor. Course credit exclusions: None.


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
