This course examines major themes in 19th- and 20th-century German history. Emphasis is placed on conflicting interpretations and methodological differences. This course is restricted to History or European Studies Honours majors and minors who have successfully completed at least 84 credits. Prerequisites: AP/HIST 2300 6.00 or AP/HIST 3320 6.00 or AP/HIST 3395 6.00 or departmental permission. Course credit exclusions: None. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusion: AS/HIST 4330 6.00.
