Explores the variegated meanings of Italy - home of Roman Empire and Catholicism, birthplace of the Renaissance, locus of artistic richness, passion, drama, intrigue and corruption - as a place symbolically laden with moral, psychological and spiritual significance. Readings in fiction, travel literature, poetry, essays. Course credit exclusion: AP/HUMA 3604 3.00. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusions: AK/EN 3754 6.00, AK/HUMA 3390 3.00, AK/HUMA 3390 6.00.


Course Start Up
