This course examines rhetoric and its social function from the classical cultures of Greece and Rome to our own time. Topics include the technical handbooks; oratory; rhetoric in literature; philosophy and rhetoric; and the role of rhetoric in modern life. Course credit exclusions: None. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusions: AS/HUMA 4100D 6.00 (prior to Fall/Winter 2003-2004), AS/HUMA 4105 6.00.


Course Start Up
