his course examines the body as a site through which modern forms of power are enacted and contested. Drawing on a range of interdisciplinary approaches and critical social theory, the course explores interconnections between bodies, power, and the state, and the institutional, socio-cultural, and individual practices that (re)produce inequitable social relations linked to class, gender, race, sexuality, and disability. Prerequisite:Co-requisite: AP/SOSC 2000.6.00


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
