With a focus on Toronto, this course challenges assumptions about Indigenous people and urbanity, explores emergent urban Native identity in the contexts of displacement, identity legislation and intermarriage, and examines cultural renewal and sovereignty in urban settings. Course credit exclusion: AP/REI 3650 3.00 (prior to Fall 2013). Previously offered as:AP/MIST 3650 3.00


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
