    Expanded Course Description

Fantasy is woven into human consciousness, present throughout history. It is far from mere entertainment. This transdisciplinary course will look at the role of fantasy in the West from the late 18th century to the present in: 1. Representations of wars and revolutions, before, during and after; 2. politics, ideology and nation-building; 3. film, literature and visual art.
