Calendar Description / Prerequisite / Co-Requisite

This course examines contemporary civil society-State relations in sub-Saharan Africa. It considers the role of domestic and regional social forces in these relations in the context of social policy-making by national governments and international political and economic institutions. Prerequisites: AP/POLS 3570 3.00 and AP/POLS 4575 3.00. Course credit exclusions: None. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Prerequisites: AS/POLS 3570 3.00; and AS/POLS 4575 3.00 or AS/POLS 4900 3.00A (prior to Summer 2007). Course credit exclusion: AS/POLS 4576 3.00.
