This course explores issues related to social change in Canada from a critical human rights perspective. It surveys major advances in equity in Canadian societyand explores instances of profound ethnocultural and socioeconomic change, including colonization and reconciliation; the building of the welfare state and itsretrenchment under neoliberalism; post-WWII immigration and diversity; and the rise of equity-seeking movements.Note: Approved SOSC General Education course for AP. This course will not count for major credit in HREQ.
