This course addresses cultural developments and transformations in North America from the period of European contact to the present. Following a comparative investigation of imperialism and nationalism in shaping the cultures of Canada, the United States and Mexico, the course offers a close examination of North America in the 20th century devoting particular attention to the realm of popular culture. Course credit exclusion: AP/HUMA 2320 9.00 (prior to Fall 2014).
