SOSC 4051 is a study away version of SOSC 4048, The Business of Fair Trade. Students are introduced to the history and practice of fair trade. During the study abroad component at the Las Nubes EcoCampus in Costa Rica, students engage with farmers who belong to producer cooperatives to study the economic, sociolegal, ecological and political impacts of fair trade. Open to: 4th year students or at least 87 credits for students majoring in any SOSC, HREQ, SOCI, POLS, GEOG and ENVS programs Course Credit Exclusions: AP/SOSC 4048 3.0


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website. Course materials begin to be released on the course website during the first week. To log in to your eClass course visit the York U eClass Portal and login with your Student Passport York Account.
