This course presents the major literary developments and ideological currents in French literature during the second half of the 20th century. Topics include minimalism postmodern historical narrative, autofiction and metafiction as responses to the literature of the absurd and the nouveau roman.Prerequisite: AP/FR 2200 6.00 with a minimum grade of C. Course credit exclusion: AP/FR 4350 6.00.
