The course offers the opportunity to critically examine the dynamics of gig and platform work. We examine the historical and economic factors behind the rise of platform work and its relation with the AI (Artificial Intelligence) industry. The course explores the gendered and racialized dimensions of gig labour and successful organizing strategies in local and transnational contexts.


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
