This course explores the importance of sound and sound technology to many of the media and cultural practices examined in communication studies, such as film, video, television, theater and visual art. It demonstrates how sound is a crucial component of these media forms, forms which are typically analyzed from perspectives that stress their visual nature. Course credit exclusion: AP/COMN 4328 6.00 (prior to Fall 2012).


Course Start Up

Course Websites hosted on York's "eClass" are accessible to students during the first week of the term. It takes two business days from the time of your enrolment to access your course website.
