Calendar Description / Prerequisite / Co-Requisite

Applies the theory and practice of comprehensive emergency management in the context of disaster response and recovery focusing on case studies Canada and around the world. This course offers an in-depth exploration of emergency management with a focus on the response and recovery phases across multiple governance levels-local, regional, provincial, territorial, federal, and international. Students will critically examine the legislative frameworks that shape emergency management practices and assess how these frameworks influence operational decision-making and coordination.Prerequisite: AP/ADMS/DEMS 3702 3.00 or permission of the course director.


Course Start Up
